JingYao Instrument Upgraded Sand & Dust Test Chamber for High-precision IP Dust Rating Testing
Recently, JingYao Instrument launched its newly upgraded intelligent sand and dust test chamber. The new model optimizes the closed-loop air duct structure and adopts an independent dust-heating & dehumidification module to prevent dust caking caused by moisture. Sand and dust uniformity in the chamber has been improved by 28% (reference/typical: as stated by the manufacturer), and the repeat test error is controlled within ±2% (reference/typical: as stated by the manufacturer).
Equipped with a 7-inch industrial touch PLC control system, the unit supports flexible setting of dust-blowing time, vibration cycle, and negative-pressure vacuum parameters. It enables one-click switching between an IP5X dust-protected test and an IP6X dust-tight test. The inner chamber is integrally bent with 304 stainless steel for corrosion resistance and reduced dust accumulation, and it includes a detachable dust collection bin at the bottom for easier cleaning.
Complying with GB/T 2423.37, GB4208, IEC 60529, and MIL-STD-810, this dust chamber is widely used for dust reliability testing of automotive lamps, door locks, vehicle electronics, outdoor lighting, security equipment, military components, and charging pile housings. It supports enterprises in completing IP certification and reliability verification.
According to JingYao’s management, this upgrade addresses three common pain points of conventional dust chambers: dust agglomeration, uneven dust circulation, and difficult cleaning. Optional customized sizes, WiFi data transmission, and remote monitoring functions are available for laboratories, automotive R&D centers, and third-party testing institutions.
