Simulated High-Altitude Low-Pressure Test Chamber

For the low-voltage (high-altitude) simulation test, all battery specimens—and other electrical products—shall be subjected to a negative pressure of 11.6 kPa (1.68 psi). The battery must not explode or ignite, must not emit smoke or show electrolyte leakage, and its protection valve must remain intact. Other tested electrical products must remain undamaged.

Low-voltage (high-altitude) simulation test for batteries: all test specimens shall be subjected to a negative pressure of 11.6 kPa (reference value: 1.68 psi). For other electrical products, the test shall likewise be conducted under the same condition. The final test results shall confirm that the battery does not explode or ignite. In addition, the battery shall not emit smoke, shall not show any electrolyte leakage, and shall maintain the integrity of its safety (protection) valve. Other tested electrical products shall likewise remain undamaged.
