Compared with similar sulfur analyzers, this instrument offers the following features:
[1] User-friendly human-machine interface with simple keyboard operation—easy to learn and use.
[2] The furnace temperature is controlled using PID mode, providing high temperature control accuracy, effectively protecting the silicon carbon tube and extending its service life.
[3] Furnace temperature and correction settings can be adjusted directly via keyboard input.
[4] Intelligent control of the electrolysis switch on/off sequence prevents over-electrolysis caused by switching order.
[5] During coal sample preparation, you can monitor the furnace temperature, furnace flow, indicator voltage, process time, and sulfur content at any time—making the test process clear at a glance.
[6] Automatically determines the titration end point to shorten test time and improve work efficiency.
[7] If the moisture value is entered, the instrument calculates and prints the dried reagent sulfur and moisture value.
[8] When the power is turned off, the instrument stores the latest 100 historical records and can print the historical records at any time.

Analysis principle
The coal sample is burned in a purified air flow at a high temperature of 1150℃. All forms of sulfur in the coal are combusted and decomposed, and then carried by the air flow to the electrolytic cell to combine with water and form H2SO3. As it disrupts the original dynamic balance of the iodine–iodide ion pair in the electrolytic cell, the instrument immediately outputs current to electrolyze the potassium iodide solution to generate iodine and restore the original dynamic balance. This is coulometric titration according to GB/T214-1996. The specific amount of current consumed to restore the original dynamic balance is directly related to the amount of sulfur combusted and decomposed in the coal sample. This is measured and calculated by the microprocessor, enabling determination of the total sulfur content in the coal.
